Please state required test level when booking the course.
- Show the principles and procedures used in well control operations with surface or subsea BOP stack as described in the IADC Well sharp Syllabus
- Use the equipment for well control operations with surface or subsea BOP stack as described in the IADC Well sharp Syllabus IADC standards
- Obtain sufficient knowledge about the course content to pass three written tests with minimum 70% score.

Who should attend ?

Rig site personnel in critical well control positions and office based engineers/supervisors who require IADC Well sharp certification.

IWCF Drilling well control

IWCF Drilling well control

This is a combined Subsea & Surface at Driller or Supervisor Level course (Level 2 & 3 & 4).

The purpose is to submit the understanding of well control techniques for surface or subsea BOP installations at driller or supervisor level according to IWCF's standards. When booking please state required test level.

This course is designed to fulfill the requirements for International Well Control Forum Combined both Surface and Subsea Well Control Qualification.

It is assumed that the individual attending this course to fulfills the prerequisite requirements of the course. The program is directed to persons in well control critical position.

This is a combined Subsea & Surface at Driller or Supervisor Level course (Level 2 & 3 & 4).

Assessment consist of

  • Practical assessment using simulator equipment (type of simulator dependent on location of training)
  • Principles & Procedures (P&P) Written Examination
  • Surface/Subsea Well Control Equipment Written Examination
  • IWCF certificates are valid for 2 years

Who should attend ?

Rig site personnel in critical well control positions and office based engineers/supervisors who require IADC Well sharp certification.

IWCF well intervention pressure control

IWCF well intervention pressure control

This programme is for people who are in critical well control positions during well intervention operations.

Different levels of training are available and are valid for the following lengths of time:

- Level 2 training – If passed, the certificate is valid for 5 years.

- Level 3 and 4 training – If passed, the certificate is valid for 2 years

Three different levels of Well Intervention Pressure Control training are available for different roles within the industry:

- Level 2 – Drilling and Wells Personnel Basic Training

- Level 3 – Available for any role expected to shut in a well

- Level 4 – Well Site Supervisor

The standard of certification in this programme is based on the pressure control knowledge required to work as service equipment operators and supervisory personnel. These standards have been created so that candidate’s knowledge can be assessed systematically.

The following certification options are available and are made up of compulsory and optional components:

  • Completion Operations (compulsory)
  • Completion Equipment (compulsory)
  • Coiled Tubing Operations (optional)
  • Wireline Operations (optional)
  • Snubbing Operations (optional).

IADC Well Servicing

IADC Well Servicing

The Well Servicing Track comprises training for service company personnel, including but not limited to, field hands, equipment operators, and oil and gas Operator Representatives who are involved in workover and well intervention activities. The Introductory course is designed for service company personnel and Oil and Gas Operator Representatives personnel. The Equipment Operator courses are designed

for, e.g., Workover Contractors; Hydraulic Intervention Contractors and Supervisors; Crew Chiefs; and Snubbing, Wireline, and Coiled Tubing Company Personnel.
The Oil and Gas Operator Representative course is designed for, e.g., Operator Company Representatives, Superintendents, and Production Engineers. A Subsea Supplement is available for the Workover and Oil and Gas Operator Representative courses.

Coiled Tubing

The Coiled Tubing course addresses topics such as risk awareness and management, well control principles and calculations, barriers, influx fundamentals, gas characteristics, fluids, wellbore equipment, rigging, pressure control equipment, well kill in preparation for well intervention, complications, testing, and related policies.

Snubbing

The Snubbing course addresses topics such as risk awareness and management, well control principles and calculations, barriers, influx fundamentals, gas characteristics, fluids, wellbore equipment, snubbing equipment, well kill in preparation for dead well intervention, testing, and related policies.

Wireline

The Wireline course addresses topics such as risk awareness and management, well control principles and calculations, barriers, influx fundamentals, gas characteristics, fluids, wellbore equipment, pressure control equipment, reasons for wireline operations, surface equipment, subsurface equipment, well kill in preparation for well intervention, testing, and related policies.
